Artwork at the McCormick Building

The original McCormick Building, built in 1924, was once a US Customs Warehouse, used as a storage facility for confiscated goods and as a look-out post to spot nefarious characters entering Miami via Biscayne Bay and The Miami River. Edward J McCormick Sr. purchased the property in 1970 and dedicated it to his father, Dr. James McCormick. Over the last several years, Sean McCormick has transformed the property into a multifaceted creative space. McCormick Place is now a Class A creative space for artistic studios and creative offices.

Neushop: back to basics

Right in the heart of Downtown Miami, at the Ingraham Building, a relatively new store in the area, the Neushop store, is introducing an innovative way of shopping by going back to basis. Neushop was born to pursue design that addresses real life. The kind of design that is unafraid of everyday aesthetics, and learns from what worked before. It is an aspiration of Neushop to show that a city perceived as superficial has been infiltrated by serious design thinking.

Never Chimp while shooting street photography

"Chimping" is the act of looking at your camera's LCD screen immediately after shooting a photo. This is something that 99% of digital photographers do, but I do advise not to do it because you can miss the decisive moment, it interrupts your flow, you can delete good photos, and it can put an unnecessary pressure on you.
